Welcome to FirstKIDS Preschool Ministry of First Baptist Church. We are located on the first floor of the Grace Worship Center. For your convenience, you may park in the parking lot directly across from the preschool entrance.
Safety and Security Procedures on Your First Visit
1. At the Preschool Welcome desk we will request that you complete a preschool information sheet. This sheet includes required allergy and authorized pick-up information.
2. You will be asked to complete a visitor sticker. Half of the sticker is kept by you and is required at pick-up. The other half of the sticker is placed on your child’s back and contains a unique number that matches the number on your half of the sticker.
3. When you pick-up your child, you will be required to surrender your half of the sticker. The numbers will be confirmed prior to dismissal. This helps us ensure that only an authorized adult is picking-up your child.
4. If you lose your sticker, photo I.D. is required and will be checked against your preschooler information sheet.
5. Pagers are available for all preschoolers birth thru three years of age. We will page you if a situation arises or if your child is unable to be consoled.
6. When your child becomes a regular attendee of FBC, we will assign a permanent sticker with a unique word that is randomly changed every week. A visitor sticker will no longer be required.
7. To avoid congestion in the preschool hallway, please have only one parent drop-off & pick-up your child. Pick up by a sibling under the age of 18 is not allowed.
8. If you have a special family situation regarding who is allowed or not allowed to pick-up your preschooler, please request to speak directly with Cheryl McCrary, Director of Preschool Ministries.
What do I do after I have dropped-off my child?
After your preschooler has been checked into his/her classroom, a greeter at the welcome desk can help you find your way. If you are looking to attend an age-appropriate Sunday School class, our greeters can walk you to an appropriate class. If you wish to attend the Worship Service, the Sanctuary is located on the 2nd floor of the Grace worship center. The floor directly above the preschool ministry. Our greeters can direct you to the elevator or the stair case.
